Any good
last time I saw her
it was summer
two thousand eighteen
a cafe not far from the sea
I was waiting for her
Ordered a cup of coffee
And charged my phone
I sat outside waiting
When she appeared
Dressed in a black uniform
One hour late to meet me
we sat on a bench
while it was raining
the white ends of her shoes had coffee stains
she probably was still drinking four cups of coffee per day.
We stared at the alley
filled with glitter
her senses absorbed
nothing of the present time
I told her that crocodiles had not changed much
and asked about the sea
she just stared at the alley filled with entertainers
in their plastic costumes
until it was time for her to go
I stayed for a while thinking if people
would take us for strangers
the rain continued to pour
while I hastened to the station
It was the last time I saw her
and I do not know if it was any good.
