
Ida Giedraitė was born in Lithuania in 1992. A former competitive rhythmic gymnast and later a chess player with an international FIDE rating, she spent her teenage years living in Belgium, volunteering in South Africa, and later living in the United Kingdom before returning to Lithuania to train at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. She continued her studies across Europe and the United Kingdom. Ida has worked as a script supervisor on the Locarno-winning feature Toxic, has served on the committee for the Lithuanian Silver Crane national film awards, is a member of the European Film Academy, and serves on the board of the Lithuanian Actors Guild.
